Early & Away Travel Company

Hi, I’m Stacy Earl, and I believe the best trips start with a good book.

As the founder of Early & Away Travel Company, I specialize in something most travel advisors don’t: research-driven travel for writers, readers, and anyone chasing a story. Whether you’re a novelist scouting settings for your next book, a book club looking to walk the streets your favorite characters walked, or a family tracing your roots through heritage and genealogy travel — I’m your person.

My love of travel started early. I grew up finishing a book a day during summer breaks, dreaming of faraway places and plotting how I’d get there. That kid who wanted to be an archaeologist grew up to spend three years living in Harrogate, England, and has since traveled to over a dozen countries — from Thailand to Ukraine to Peru. Every trip taught me something you can’t learn from a screen: the weight of a place, the smell of its streets, the details that make a story feel real.

That’s what I call the “unmappable details” — the sensory, spatial, on-the-ground knowledge that only comes from being there. It’s the core of what I offer my clients, and it’s what sets research travel apart from regular tourism.

I’m currently hosting “Fated in The Burren,” a reading retreat for romantasy lovers in County Clare, Ireland, timed with the legendary Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival. It’s the kind of experience I live for: literary magic meets real-world adventure, with every detail handled so you can focus on the story.

Through Rainbow Getaways and the Ensemble Travel Group, I bring a background in corporate event planning and years of personal travel across multiple continents to every itinerary I build. My philosophy is simple: depth over tourism. I plan trips for people who do their reading first.

Travel well, read deeply,

Stacy
